Johor Bahru: Argentina on Wednesday defeated South Africa by 2-0 in quarter final of International Hockey Federation (FIH) World Hockey League semi final played at Johor Bahru.
Both teams start of aggressively in the first half. Argentina’s Gonzalo Peillat in 27 minute of the match scored the first goal of the match in first half.
Argentina continue their agressive apporach in second half which keep South Africa under pressure. In 40 minute of the match Gonzalo Peillat scored his second goal of the match.
South Africa at the dying minutes of the match manage to find the penalty corner but could not make it count.
With is victory over South Africa, Argentina have qualified for the Semi Final.
