LAHORE: Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique announced on Monday to reject political recommendations for appointments and postings in the department.
Just after the release of ‘corruption-free’ directive from Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s, Khawaja Saad Rafique claimed ‘first’ position amongst the government’s officials who announce ‘anti-corruption’ action in their respective department.
The minister said that pillars of Pakistan Railways (PR) are being restructured under proper consultations in order to convert the department into profitable and reliable organization for public servicing.
Khawaja Saad added that appointments made on political recommendations always allowed corrupt persons to kept the key post.
He aimed to made appointments only to the hardworking and responsible officials in the department but not on political grounds.
