ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has scheduled to visit prominent hydro power project in Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday (today).
PM Nawaz Sharif has decided to inspect Neelum-Jhelum Hydro Power Project site today in order to boost the development work on the project which will generate 969 Mega Watts electricity.
It is pertinent to note, China has approved investment of 448 million dollars on May 28 to built Neelum-Jehlum Hydro-electricity project in Pakistan to counter electricity crisis.
Moreover, The project was started in 2008 by Chinese consortium in July 2007 and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) also provided a loan of $40 million to Pakistan for construction of Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower project.
