ISLAMABAD: Keeping its words upright, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has abolished secret funds of 16 federal ministries.
The usage of secret funds has been a highly criticized matter for last many years with many believe these funds are used inappropriately and for political mileage.
According to sources of Finance Ministry, the decision will save Rs. 6 billion to the national exchequer. However, the notification from the ministry has excepted Intelligence Agencies from the decision.
“Auditor General of Pakistan would audit the secret funds of the secret agencies,” they further said.
