LAUSANNE: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Thursday opened the bidding process for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
Cities interested in hosting the event have until November 14 to submit their bid, the IOC said.
The city to host the Games will be chosen at an IOC session in Kuala Lumpur on July 31, 2015.
A year earlier, the IOC executive board will draw up a shortlist of selected candidate cities from the applicants.
Likely candidates include Munich, the German city that lost out to Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Games, Oslo, Stockholm, the Ukrainian city of Lviv, and Krakow as part of a joint Poland/Slovakia bid.
