LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) will go head to head today for slot of chief minister of Pujab, the largest province by population of the country.
The contest is between PML-N’s nominee Shahbaz Sharif and Mehmoodur Rashid of PTI with Shahbaz is the strongest contender with support of around 300 members of PML-N.
According to Radio Pakistan, Speaker Rana Muhammed Iqbal will preside the session for election for the slot of the chief minister.
There will 358 members in the session to vote for the slot. PML-N enjoys support of 305 members while the PTI has 26 members‚ the PML-Q nine‚ PML-Z two‚ the JUI-F‚ JI and BNAP have one each.
