ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s elite court has annulled the appointment of Ali Arshad Hakeem on the post of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
FBR is the national organ to collect tax from businesses, services and employees across the country.
Announcing the verdict, Islamabad High Court judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui termed the appointment of Hakeem as illegal and unconstitional. Earlier‚ on the eighth of April‚ the court had ceased Ali Arshad Hakeem to work as the FBR chairman.
