A good news for Samsung lovers is that the Korean giant is working to protect its users’ devices by introducing fingerprint scanning technology possibly in Galaxy Note 3.
According to iTechPost, the company is working to be at par with rival Apple, which is likely to introduce iPhone 5S with fingerprint technology. To add this security feature, Apple has already purchased AuthenTec’s fingerprint scanning software.
Samsung is likely to launch next generation phablet, Galaxy Note 3, in October to give a tough time to Apple’s iPad Mini.
Fingerprint scanning is expected to enhance the security of the smartphones, phablets and tablets from not only Apple and Samung but also from other manufacturers.
The fingerprint scanning in Galaxy Note 3 is likely to use both to device lock screen and in-app authentication.
Earlier, SamMobile has hinted at integration of fingerprint scanning tech into operating system of Galaxy S3; however, the idea was not materialized that time.
The head to head tech war between Samsung and Apple is now expanding from hardware similarities to software similarities with fans of both the firms calling the rival firm as ‘copycat.’
How do you see integration of fingerprint scanning technology into next generation devices?
