KARACHI: A low-intensity bomb blown on Tuesday near Shireen Jinnah Colony situated in Boat Basin area of Karachi, the metropolitan city of Pakistan, police sources said.
According to the sources, no casualty or damage is caused by the bomb blast fortunately, the explosion occurred near the red zone where the houses of Governor, Chief Minister and Bilawal Zardari Bhutti are situated.
Some sources showed concerns that the blast was targeted as the incident took place when a car moving through the nearby road taking some foreigners who belonged to China.
According to Bomb Disposal Squad’s initial report, at least four kilograms of explosives, ball bearings and nut were used in the remote controlled bomb device but failed to explode completely.
Rescue and security teams reached the location and cordoned off the whole area to start further investigations.
