Karachi: In recent wave of killings, a contestant of Awami National Party has been assassinated with his son in Korangi Bilal Colony of Karachi, the largest city of the country.
Sadiq Zaman Khattak was a member of ANP and was contesting from NA-251.
A spokesman of Pukhtoon-based party confirmed that Sadiq was a member of ANP while his 6-years old son who got bullets also lost his life.
About 10 people were killed and several injured in an earlier attack on ANP’s election gathering in Karachi.
Karachi has been experiencing continuous bomb explosions for last many days with  liberal parties including Muttahida Qaumi Movement and ANP blaming that they are being targeted from extremists.
