Moscow: India’s External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Monday asked Pakistan to “seriously” take India’s appeal for the release of Indian death row convict Sarabjit Singh, comatose in a Lahore hospital after a brutal assault.
Talking to reporters, the external affairs minister said that they had pulled out everything they know in diplomacy for the release of the convicted Indian spy on a death row in Pakistan.
“We have been concerned of getting him (Sarabjit) back to India. We have been repeatedly pushing the matter. We have pulled out everything we know in diplomacy to reach out for this matter,” Khurshid said in Moscow.
He further said that his country has conveyed its reservations over the lapse in the security of Sarabjit Singh.
