After the launch of Galaxy S4 from Samsung, Apple is being expected to launch its next fleet of devices including iPhone 5S and iPad Mini 2 this summer.
There are lots of rumours, analysis and clues confirming a summer launch of products from Cuperino-based technology firm.
But something, and this is powerful enough to deny all such rumours and clues, has given us a clue which is totally different from the routine chorus of hints about the Apple’s next range of iDevices.
This is right from the most relevant person, Tim Cook. During the earning call with invesors last night, Tim has repeatedly used words ‘this fall’ and ‘2014’ whenever he referred to launch of Apple products.
For not a single time, he used the word ‘this summer’ for the launch of iDevices.
“We have a lot more innovations in the works,” Apple CEO said, promising “some really great stuff coming in the Fall and across all of 2014.”
This statement has put the summer launch of iPhone 5S in doubt.
In some our recent reports, we have calculated a June to July release date for the iPhone 5S, an upgraded model of last year’s flagship device iPhone 5S.
We could also see the matter from the other side of Tim Cook’s perspective. Using a time period for launch of great products is not enought to deny the launch of a product this summer.
If Tim has not used words ‘this summer’, it doesn’t mean that Apple is not going to release any iDevice this summer. Keeping in view of rising sales and profits of competitors like Samsung and sliding sales and profits of Apple, it will not be unusual to see a suprise launch this summer.
But we can just make hypothesis based on some Circumstantial evidence. Whether Apple is going to release iPhone 5S or iPad Mini 2 this summer or not, will be clear in next few weeks.
