ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the authorities to take action against Inspector General Police Bani Amin Khan within 24 hours in Pervez Musharraf escape case.
Pakistan’s former military ruler escaped from the LHC last week when the court rejected his interim bail plea in judges’ house arrest and sacking case.
During hearing of the Pervez Musharraf escape case on Tuesday, the court was informed that DSP Idrees Rathor was responsible to arrest Musharraf and he had been suspended for not implementing the orders. “Station House Officer (SHO) has also been issued show-case notice,” the authorities told the IHC.
After the break, the court ordered an action against the IGP and sought report within 24 hours.
Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 25.
