LAHORE: The caretaker government is bound to initiate proceedings under Article 6 of the constitution against Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf, if given such directions by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
This was stated by barrister Aitizaz Ahsan, who was commenting on the cases against the former president, here on Tuesday.
He furthered that the cases can also be run in the civil courts. He ruled out court martial against the former army chief, saying it is out of question.
Meanwhile, hearing in the treason case against Gen. (retd) Musharraf was adjourned till Wednesday.
