KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan leading Islamic political party, has announced that its election manifesto, focusing elimination of terrorism, unemployment and energy crisis from the country, here on Monday.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, JI Amir Syed Munawar Hassan said that their manifesto was revolutionary, adding that only the JI could form a corruption free government in the country.
The manifesto consists of 29 pages covers all key policy matters of national and international level.
In its manifesto, the JI has promised to end the energy crisis within six month after coming into power.
“We will end the terrorism from its roots and increase the literacy rate to 100 per cent within five,” Hassan claimed in the media briefing held in Pearl Continental (PC) hotel.
“Ending unemployment in the country will a priority of Jamaat-e-Islami…we will finish GST.”
The JI Amir said that the JI would make revolutionary change in the country interior and foreign policy. “Current foreign policy is influencing over the country.”
He said that the JI had helped the poor people of the country and provided shelters to flood affectees.
He demanded the people to vote the political parties on the basis of the past performance.
The JI manifesto also emphasizes on resolution of all conflict including Kashmir with India through dialogues.
Hassan strongly condemned the attacks on the Awami National Party (ANP) leaders.
