London: South Africa’s star batsman Hashim Mahomed Amla is celebrating his 30th birthday on Sunday (today).
Amla, born on March 31, 1983, is of Indian origin and right-handed top order batsman and occasional medium-pace bowler.
He is currently ranked by the International Cricket Council as the world’s top batsman in Test and One Day Internationals (ODIs).
His Test average is 52.21 and 57.21 in One Day Internationals (ODI).
Amla became the first South African to score a Test match triple century when he scored 311 not out against England in 2012.
