Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khurshid Shah on Friday said that they cannot agree on the name of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid for the next interim prime minister of the country.
Speaking to media after attending parliamentary committee meeting, Khurshid Shah said that the government alliance had shown great softness on the different proposed names of interim PM but still the issue remains unsolved.
“We have not reached a final decision but consultations are continuing, let’s see what happens next after the final meeting,” he added.
The PPP leader further said that the reservations on Nasir Aslam Zahid were of serious nature and they cannot be set aside easily.
Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour also confirmed that there had been no consensus on any of the name proposed from both opposition and government especially on the name of Nasir Aslam Zahid.
