Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan has been elected uncontested for the chairmanship of the party for the next three years, here on Wednesday.
After submitting his nomination papers for party chairmanship in Lahore, the PTI chief said that it is a heavy responsibility on Election Commission of Pakistan to bar corrupt, tax evaders and fake degree holders from participating in the upcoming elections.
Khan said that his party has changed the dynamics of politics in the country and the whole nation would come out on March 23 for a change.
Meanwhile, Shah Mehmood Qureshi has also been elected unopposed as the vice chairman of the PTI. Two other candidates also submitted their papers for the vice chairmanship but later withdraw from the elections.
Elections are being held on 49 central posts of the party. Different leaders including Umar Cheema, Fauzia Kasuri and Aayla Malik have submitted their nomination papers for the posts.
