Lahore: At least 479 laptops were distributed among regular teachers in a ceremony held at Punjab University’s Undergraduate Study Center under the scheme of the Punjab’s chief minister.
The laptops were awarded to those teachers who are either doing their M.Phil and Ph.D or supervising the students of the same programs.
PU Acting Vice Chancellor Dr Liaqat Ali, President Academic Staff Association Dr Ehsan Sharif, Secretary Javed Sami, Khawaja Imran Nazir and a large number of teachers were present on the occasion.
Laptop distribution programme is started by the Punjab government to encourage the people linked with educational section and to promote the information technology.
