Karachi: Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Agha Siraj Durrani on Monday tortured a secretary of his ministry, Shaukat Jokhio, for refusing to sign a list of appointments.
Speaking to media, Jokhio claimed that the minister along with his guards came to his office and asked him to sign a list of appointments and on refusal started beating him.
The secretary also claimed that former secretary local bodies Zulfiqar Dahar was also present at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, two different cases have been filed at the Aram Bagh police station for torture and interference in government affairs.
According to sources, a case for interfering in the government affairs was filed against the secretary local bodies, Shaukat Jokhio and eight other people on the rquest of the section officer.
On the other hand, after protest from the people in the police station, another case against one of the most influential PPP minister, Agha Siraj Durrani, Zulfiqar Dahar and 11 other people was filed in the police station.
