Islamabad: Academic credentials of 19 more legislatures were challenged in Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Saturday.
According to the HEC sources degrees of eight Members of National Assembly (MNAs) and 11 Members of the Provincial Assemblies (MPAs) were challenged.
Federal Minister for Special Education Shaikh Waqas Akram, Senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Rahim Dad Khan, Jameel Malik, Liaquat Bhatti, Rana Zahid, Akhter Khadim, Yaqoob Bizenjo and Jawad Hussain were the MNAs whose degrees were challenged.
The MPAs whose degrees were challenged included Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, Rizwan Gul, Rana Mubashir, Jam Saifullah, Syed Hassan Murtaza, Farooq Yousaf Gurki, Munawar Hussain Manj, Yasir Raza Malik, Jam Akramullah, Rana Abdul Rauf and Arshad Ahmed Khan.
It may take some time to verify the credentials of the legislatures, the sources added.
