Islamabad: Chief ministers of all four provincial assemblies of Pakistan have agreed to dissolve their assemblies on the same day, reports say.
But discussions on a date of the dissolution are still under way. Sources said March 19 may be the D-Day.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and all four chief ministers—Syed Qaim Ali Shah (Sindh), Shahbaz Sharif (Punjab), Aslam Raisani (Balochistan) and Ameer Haider Hoti (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)—at the PM House on Saturday.
Earlier, Ashraf meet all the four chief ministers of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
During the meeting ahead of the completion of the National Assembly’s five-year term, the matters regarding dissolution of assemblies and caretaker setup were discussed.
