New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha Friday condemned the Pakistan National Assembly’s resolution denouncing the execution of Kashmiri Leader Afzal Guru.
Raising the issue when the house met at 11, opposition leader Arun Jaitley said the resolution amounted to approving the 2001 terror attack on Indian parliament.
Parliament in Pakistan passed a resolution on Thursday strongly condemning the execution of Guru, the Kashmiri leader allegedly behind the Indian parliament attack.
Jaitely said that the resolution was not only interference in the India’s internal affairs but an approval of the worst terror attack.
He said the resolution was an “official stamp of approval” on the attack that almost triggered a war between India and Pakistan.
He said no friendly ties or dialogue with Pakistan was possible now.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla said the whole house agreed with Jaitley’s sentiment.
