Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday gave a strong message to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership over the appointment of interim chief minister in Sindh saying that Mohajirs should be considered for the slot.
In a statement issued after a joint Coordination Committee meeting of the party in London and Karachi, the party said that it has been revealed that some factions are trying to prevent the appointment of Mohajir caretaker chief minister.
“Mohajirs should be considered the son of the soil and they should be considered as eligible for the interim CM slot as of old Sindhis,” they said.
The committee further warned that if they would not be accepted as the Sindhis then their struggle would be only for the Mohajirs.
“We have broken the pen which pleads mercy.”
