Johannesburg: A brainstorming session of the Pakistani team was held for the senior players in South Africa, where the Pakistani team is playing one day international series against Proteas.
Constant failures of Pakistan’s batting lineup in test series and defeat by a huge margin of 125 runs in the first ODI has forced the team management to consult senior players over the failures.
According to sources, the meeting, which was called by Coach Dave Whatmore, asked senior players to freely give their views and point out the lapses, which caused the batsmen to get out early in the innings.
The meeting was attended by Misbahul Haq (Captain), Mohammad Hafeez (Vice-Captain), Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Younus Khan, Abdul Rehman, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal.
No junior player was invited in the meeting, which discussed the problems faced by the team in the South African tour.
