Karachi: The Sindh government on has issued a notification for the transfers and suspensions of various high level police officials after Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry directed the provincial government to take action against all officials who showed negligence in stopping blast that killed 48 people.
According to a notification issued on Wednesday night, the services of Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Fayyaz Leghari and DIG East Aleem Jaffery were given to the federal government.
However, SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who also escaped a suicide attempt near Malir Halt area of the city, and DSP Sohrab Goth Qamar Ahmed were suspended for not performing their duties well.
The provincial government also suspended SHO Sachal.
