Karachi: Two people were killed and more than 20, including Rangers and police officials, injured in a new spate of violence in Karachi a day after deadly bombing in Abbas Town area of the city.
Seven vehicles, including two ambulances, were also set on fire.
Incidents of firings have been reported in the areas of Sohrab Goth, Abbas Town, Indus Plaza and Ancholi where law-and-order situation is still deteriorating.
Rangers officials said that five Rangers crew members, including a deputy superintendent of Rangers (DSR), were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Malir.
Police said unknown people also tried to kidnap four policemen, but the attempt was foiled.
