Karachi: Interior Minister Rahman Malik warned Punjab government to move to supreme judiciary if it continues it facilitation to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) which is involved in terrorists attacks.
Speaking to the media at the event organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, he said that he had solid proves to present in the court that the provincial government of Punjab is supporting LeJ, adding that he will reveal all relevant documents in this regard soon in front of media.
He also added that the governments of Sindh and Baluchistan should move to court against Punjab government because these provinces are vicitims of the terrorists incidents carried out by LeJ.
I demand Chief Justice of Pakistan that it should also take a suo moto action against the Punjab government for facilitating LeJ.
He said that Punjab government should have taken notice of LeJ leaders who termed Shia as kafir. But chief minister of Punjab is giving protection to them.
An investigation is being carried out to know as how Malik Ishaq, a leader of LeJ, had left Pakistan in near past when he was not allowed to leave his town without informing the concerned police station.
Who facilitated Malik Ishaq to go abroad, the provincial government or federal agency. If an official of FIA is found guilty, an action will be taken against him as per law.
I have gathered information related to terrorist activities carried by various band groups in Pakistan during 2006-2013. “There are some 47 banned organizations in Pakistan.”
Regarding the split of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) from the government, the two parties (MAM and PPP) are still good friends but the election will be fought on individual capacity.
He mentioned that Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad has not tendered his resignation to President Asif Ali Zardari so far hence he is still governor of Sindh.
