Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has named Syed Sardar Ahmed as the opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly, here on Friday.
According to sources, the party has submitted a request in the assembly on Friday (today).
Speaking to media, MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari said that there was no comparison between our 51 lawmakers and 10 makers of the PML-F.
“It is our right to appoint opposition leader in the assembly as we have greater mandate than the rival party.”
Earlier, there were rumours that Faisal Sabzwari would likely to be appointed as opposition leader in Sindh Assembly but the decision was changed.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has also applied for the opposition leader slot in the provincial assembly. They had appointed Nusrat Sehar Abbasi as their candidate.
