Lahore: Health Department Punjab on Saturday sacked 120 more doctors after persistent absence from the duty, thus raising the numbers of sacked doctors in the province to 280.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the health department Punjab said that the government would not tolerate any attempt to disrupt the continuous process of providing health facilities in the province.
Punjab health department claimed that the 120 doctors sacked today were absent from duty for the last one and a half year, who were first served show cause notices, but they didn’t come back on duty.
Punjab health department claimed that the sacking of the doctors has no relevance with the young doctors’ strike.
