Washington: The United States (US) Embassy in Pakistan on Thursday expressed their regret over the traffic incident which killed one Pakistani citizen and injured another.
On Thursday night, a US diplomat killed one Pakistani and injured another by hitting his car to a motorcycle in Islamabad, capital city of Pakistan.
The police held the diplomat and registered a case under Section 320 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against after he ran down the bikers identified as Shozab Raza and Muzammil Shah, the employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Muzammil Shah breathed his last in the emergency room of Poly Clinic, however Shozab Raza is said to be out of danger.
The official said that the embassy would fully co operate with the families of both the deceased and the injured and was in touch with the local Insurance company to compensate them.
The diplomat was later freed by the capital police on the surety of the American Embassy.
