Lahore: Government College University (GCU) Lahore debating society on Thursday clinched the title of Trilingual Declamation Contest 2013.
Students of 25 educational institutions took part in the contest which was conducted by Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore in English, Urdu and Punjabi languages.
Zahid Ali, Hassan Virk and Khwaja Yasin, all from GCU, were the prominent debaters at the contest. Team GCU was also awarded the desirable team trophy.
Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman lauded the GCU debating society for their acheivement.
