Peshawar: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhua Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Friday said that they would continue efforts to bring peace and stability to the country including the KPK province.
The statements came after a suicide bomber targeted the convoy of KPK CM in Mardan, a city of Pakistan’s KPK province.
Talking to media, the ANP chief said that it was good that all people including the chief minister survived in the attack.
We are not afraid from anyone, we have been facing these problems since the beginning of our tenure but we have never bowed down in front of the militants, he said.
He rejected the reports that ANP would not participate in the next elections amid continuous blasts on the party gatherings and leaders.
It’s for sure that we will participate in the next election, he added.
Meanwhile, the KPK CM, who survived the suicide attack, said that he would continue his efforts to bring peace in the province adding that the today’s incident was an attempt to sabotage the peace process.
He further said that he was not afraid of anyone as life and death was in the hand of Allah.
