Abu Dhabi: Tauqeer Sadiq, the former chairman of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), has been sent to Abu Dhabi’s central jail, a report said on Thursday.
A private news television reported that the development came after Nasir al-Mansoori’s, the owner of Al-Noor Backers in the state, statement in which he stated that the ex-chairman of Ogra arrived Abu Dhabi on his sponsored visa but fled away later.
The television quoting its sources further said that Sadiq could be deported within two or three days.
Pakistan’s top court had directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to complete the arrangement for the deportation of Sadiq by February 14 (today).
