Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri lost his patience after the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday rejected his petition challenging reforms in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Talking to media outside the apex court, the PAT leader said that the SC decision on his petition was unconstitutional, hurting millions of Pakistanis who wanted a free and fair election in the country.
He further said that the court has insulted millions of Pakistanis serving the nation from the foreign countries.
“I am a Pakistani but the respected judges during the proceedings called me as a foreigner and these remarks are not only my insult but the millions of Pakistanis living in foreign countries,” he said.
The court had made up its mind far before giving the verdict, he said showing the newspapers with the CJP remarks that the court would not allow anyone to dismiss the ECP.
Instead of listening to the contents of my petition, the court only argued about my dual nationality, he added.
