ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has once again enforced petroleum levy on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which is likely to send the gas price further up.
Rs3500 per ton petroleum levy has been imposed that will be collected from Feb 1, says an SRO issued by Ogra here on Monday.
Earlier, the Ogra had imposed the petroleum levy on LPG last year but the decision was suspended by the Lahore High Court.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the LPG marketing companies vows to challenge the imposition of petroleum levy in the court of law.
