Islamabad: Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Sunday said that that loss incurred from the gas theft and other losses have increased to more than twice of the limit set by the authority. Ogra had set a limit of almost 4.5 percent losses during the year.
In an annual report issued by the organization on Sunday, almost Rs.32 billion has been lost during the last year from gas theft and other losses across the country.
“Sui Northern Gas Company Limited has suffered a loss of 11.5 percent during 2011-2012 due to increased incidents of gas theft and other losses,” the report said.
The report further added that the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) also suffered a loss of eight percent during the year.
