Islamabad: The Director General Human Resource of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday refuted the allegation against him that he pressurized NAB investigator Kamran Faisal which led to his suspicious death.
Kausar Iqbal Malik is accused of mounting pressure on Kamran Faisal on three different points.
The first point was that Kamran should give an affidavit that he be isolated from rental power case investigations. Second was that he should hand over a plain paper duly signed by him and third that Kamran should tender resignation with a written plea that he had done so under the pressure from Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). But Kamran Faisal rejected these three points.
Sources said police was of the view that DG (HR) NAB would be arrested if need be.
Talking to media, Kausar Iqbal said that he never called Kamran nor he summoned him adding that media was involved in his character assassination.
“I am ready to face any investigation,” he said adding that he was also ready to appear before the commission, led by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, for clearing his position on the issue.
