Islamabad: The government of Pakistan on Sunday formed a judicial commission in order to probe the mysterious death of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) official Kamran Faisal, probing the involvement of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in Rental Power Project (RPP) case.
According to sources, the commission would be led by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and it would submit its report within two weeks.
Earlier, a preliminary autopsy report of Kamran Faisal, who was found dead in his home, says that he committed suicide.
The report is released on Saturday by a board comprising three doctors at the Poly Clinic Hospital. The board termed the death suicide as no marks of tortured were found on Faisal’s body.
Faisal’s relatives claimed later that he was tortured before death as there were bruises on his arms, wrists, and neck.
Faisal’s father Abdul Hameed also rejected the post-mortem report and urged authorities to form a judicial commission to probe his son’s death.
