Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor General K.K Agha on Thursday said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan cannot check the record of the NAB investigation, a television report said.
During hearing of the rental power case in the apex court, the bench asked NAB Chairman Fasih Bokhari to produce complete files of the investigation in the case.
Agha, the prosecutor, raised objection saying as per the NAB ordinance the apex court cannot check the record of the bureau’s investigation.
However, the NAB chairman said that they were ready to produce the record.
On this, the bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry adjourned the hearing and directed the NAB to produce the record within 15 minutes and said that the count would hear the case till 10pm if needed.
