New Delhi: Hours before the proposed Indo-Pak flag meeting over Line of Control skirmish between Indian and Pakistani forces, India’s Army chief General Bikram Singh said the killing of Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops was gruesome and unpardonable act.
Addressing a news conference in New Delhi on Monday, Bikram alleged that the killing of two Indian jawans by Pakistani troops was a pre-planned act.
The Army chief insisted that no operation at LOC was done by the Indian Army on January 6.
According to Pakistan army, on January 6 India soldiers entered into Pakistani territory and killed one troop and injured another at the LoC in AJ&K.
General Bikram Singh backed that act of Indian commanders at LoC saying “Indian commanders on LoC are doing a great job. He added that the Indian Army will fully back the actions of commanders at the Line of Control.
General Bikram Singh said that we have the right to retaliate.
“India reserves its right to retaliate against Pakistan at time and place of its choice. We won’t remain passive when attacked,” Army chief said.
“India’s response to Pakistani firing at its posts in LoC in J&K is measured and perfect,” General Bikram Singh said.
