Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday telephoned Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain and applauded the party decision to keep distance from Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s long march towards Islamabad on January 14.
MQM Chief said that the party decided not to participate in the long march in the greater interest of the country.
He further said that terror incidents in Quetta and Swat have forced the party to decided against participating in the march.
It is to be mentioned here that at least 114 people were killed in the deadly blasts in Quetta, a metropolitan of Pakistan while 22 people were killed in a blast at a mosque in Swat, on Thursday.
The prime minister also hoped that Dr. Tahirul Qadri would also reconsider his decision of leading the march towards Islamabad.
