Islamabad: The Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on Tuesday approved 15 recommendations regarding matter of missing persons and role of intelligence agencies.
Talking to media after the meeting, chairman PCNS Senator Raza Rabbani said that role of the agencies would be according to law and under supervision of the parliament.
Rabbani said that arrest of any citizen would be made under article 10 of the constitution.
“Supreme Court and all high courts will be asked to make special bench on missing persons’ issue while human rights commission will also be formed on national level,” said Rabbani.
The senator further said that jail reforms would be done in accordance with the advices of Senate functional committee.
Detainees under anti terrorism act would be informed about cases within 24 hours.
