Multan: The supply of Compressed Natural Gas in Multan city of Pakistan’s Punjab province has still not resumed despite a passage of fifteen days
The government had announced closure of CNG supply on December 24th, 2012 for indefinite period.
CNG consumers, especially public transport owners were troubled by the restraint, resulting in the increase in transport fares and usage of petrol as substitute.
Previously, Arif Hameed, Managing Director of Sui Northern Pakistan said that gas load-shedding is due to less productivity of the utility in the country and increment in domestic usage.
He also said that CNG supply to the filling pumps could be restricted throughout the winter season.
