Lahore: Punjab government issued notification on Sunday to dismiss and suspend dozens of Young Doctors Association (YDA) leaders while more than 60 young doctors were transferred.
According to the government spokesman, the government took strict action against them as the government considered their strike unlawful. “They should avoid doing so or they will be terminated,” said the spokesman.
On the other hand YDA spokesman said that those actions would only make the situation worse.
YDA called Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting to decide future line of action after those mass suspensions and transfers.
YDA has threatened that now both the government and patients at hospitals would suffer.
