Karachi: A police official on Tuesday vowed to arrest all culprits involved in the brutal murder of Shahzeb Khan and said that police has came more closer to the criminals and it would take almost 3 to 4 days to arrest all of them.
Shahzeb was killed allegedly by Shahrukh Jatoi near Mubarak Masjid in DHA on Tuesday night. The killing resulted from a small argument he had with Nawab Siraj Talpur, when the latter’s servant verbally harassed his sister.
Talpur and his friend, Jatoi, allegedly followed Shahzeb and shot him.
Talking to media, DIG South Shahid Hayat said that although the culprits belonged to a powerful feudal family from Sindh but the police was making a positive headway in the case.
The police official refuted the claim that the criminals had crossed the border and said that they were still present in the country and the law enforcement authorities have raided several hideouts in interior Sindh.
He further assured that a strict action would be taken against all those people, who are using black-tinted glasses and carrying illegal weapons in the vicinity of Defence area of Karachi.
The police on Tuesday arrested the family manager of main culprit, Shahrukh Jatoi, near Supreme Court Registry in Karachi. The security guard of Shahrukh Jatoi was also arrested on Monday and moved to an undisclosed location for further interrogation; however, the police said that a case had not been registered against him yet.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday took notice of the unarmed and merciless killing of a youth Shahzeb Khan in Karachi.
The apex court sought a report of the killing and directed the Advocate General and Inspector General Police Sindh to appear before the court on January 4.
