Karachi: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed political situation including the long march of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri.
President Zardari summoned Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and other PPP senior leaders to Karachi in what is being termed as an emergency call.
According to sources, the Prime Minister and other party leaders have been called in to discuss Tahir-ul-Qadri’s long march, prevailing political situation and politics of the coalition partners.
Earlier on Tuesday, addressing a mass gathering organised by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that they will no more demand rights from those sitting at the helm of affairs; the system based on injustice will soon be derailed.
“60 percent of the people of Pakistan have no hope from this system and that is why they will give their decision in the mass meeting on January 14,” said Dr. Qadri in his address to a mammoth gathering at Jinnah Ground, Karachi.
Meanwhile PML-Q has also announced to support PAT for its long march towards the capital of the country from January 14.
