Karachi: Winter season has gripped Pakistan with strong winds blowing in different cities of the country especially in mountainous parts.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), winter season has badly affected Quetta, where the temperature has lowered upto -10 C. Strong winds of 10-20 km/hr were expected in Karachi in the late hours.
Scattered rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Quetta, Zhob divisions and Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan. Foggy conditions likely to subside in central/southern Punjab.
The most coldest places across the country during last 24 hours are Kalat -09 C, Dalbandin, Quetta & Parachinar -07 C, Gupis, Drosh Skardu & Murree -04 C, Zhob, Hunza, Astore & Chitral -03 C, Malamjabba & Gilgit -02 C.
Temperatures in other parts of the country are recorded as Hyderabad 13, Karachi 17 C, Islamabad 4 C, Lahore 5 C, Multan 9 C, Rawalpindi 6 C and Peshawar 4 C.
