Islamabad: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar Monday said that the party workers had prevented Altaf Hussain from coming back to Pakistan ‘as the party chief is facing unnatural threats here’, Geo News reported.
Talking to media representatives, Satytar said that personalities like Altaf Hussain were born in centuries.
“He is a ray of hope for millions of Pakistanis and we cannot expose him to the real and present dangers,” he added.
The MQM leader said that in the present circumstances it would not be appropriate to ask him to come to Pakistan.
“It was due to the existing hazards that he was stopped several times by the MQM workers from coming back to Pakistan.”
It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court had served a contempt notice to MQM Chief Altaf Hussain ordering him to appear before the court on January 7 following the latter’s statement against judges during his telephonic address to a public meeting.
