Ankara: A joint statement of the trilateral seventh summit underway at Turkish capital was issued on Wednesday.
The summit consented formation of a joint commission that will investigate the cause of attack on a Afghan intelligence officer. It was also decided on the occasion that the three sides will continue holding joint military exercise. They also decided that cross-border infiltration and coordination in this regard will be improved will be stopped.
Speaking at a joint press conference after the talks, President Asif Ali Zardari stressed eliminating the ‘terrorism mindset’.
Turkish President, Abdullah Gul remarked that terrorism is not the problem of a single country now. He said they are hopeful of the Afghan peace process.
Hamid Karzai, Afghan President observed that both Pakistan and his country are the victims of terrorism. He said that efforts for confidence-building between the countries have yielded positive results.
